This laptop computer operation system always appeared instable when being booted up, this was witnessed in the task bar icon group, and the icons appeared were unpredictably different each time this computer was started up.
Moreover, the direct internet connection via ADSL line would cause this computer going to stop running for an unpredictably very long time, though its wireless connection was very stable under every condition since I upgraded its utility eight months ago.
This was a very unhappy experience.
I guessed the problem might lie in the conflicts between anti-virus program and other software.
So I tested several times with one or two different software closed each time while rebooted the computer. Finally I found the most likely culprit was Asus LiveUpdate utility, I tried to stop it being loaded while reboot, the result was unchanged.
I removed this software, the situation seems changed. Then I downloaded and reinstalled the utility, actually it's the same version as I'd removed. I run this utility to see what would happen, minutes later a message popped up saying insufficient memory, and the computer run to a dead end.
My god! This is an originally embedded utility software by the maker!
I stopped its running from start-up, then checked the anti-virus settings table, and it has made it an exception.
I rebooted the computer several times under different conditions, and the results became consistent and smooth.
So, in this Labor's Day I've labored with this computer, including the time I spent last night this problem-solving cost me about 6 hours.
What a good notebook computer for enhancing knowledge about computer systems!
這部膝上型電腦啟動後,作業系統呈現不穩定的狀態,因為每次開機後,出現在工作列上的圖示,每次都會出現不同的組合.
此外,雖然它的無線網路八個月前更新過軟體後一直很穩定,但透過有線連接ADSL上網時,這部電腦都會昏睡一段長到無法預期的時間.
這實在令人很不舒服.
我想問題可能出在防毒軟體和其他軟體互相衝突.
因此,我做了好幾次每次關掉一、二個不同軟體的重開機測試.
最後發現最可疑的嫌疑犯是華碩即時更新公用程式,我試過開機時不要載入這個功能,結果還是沒差.
我移除這個軟體後,情況有了變化,於是我從新下載、安裝這個程式,其實版本是相同的,我試跑看看這個軟體,幾分鐘過後,出現了一個記憶體不足的訊息,然後電腦當機.
天哪!這可是製造商內建的公用程式啊!
我停止讓它在開機時載入,並檢查防毒軟體設定表,已把它列入阻止除外名單.
我重試在幾種不同的條件下重開機,結果變得一致又平順.
勞動節在這部電腦上做了苦工,連同昨天晚上,處理這個問題總共花了將近六小時.
真是一部可以讓人增進電腦系統知識的好筆記型電腦!
